      How do I change the Sound Capsule user?

      A Simple Guide to Transitioning Sound Capsule Access Between Users

      Colleagues and collaborators can easily share a Sound Capsule. To ensure a seamless workflow and maintain privacy, you may want to use your own Nomono account when recording. Doing so ensures your recordings are uploaded to the intended workspace and remain accessible only to you and your team.

      Step 1: Log in to Your Nomono Account

      1. Open the Nomono Companion App on your device.
      2. Log in with your Nomono user account:
        • If you don’t have an account, tap Sign up to create one.
        • If you already have an account, tap Log in and enter your credentials.

      Important:

      Make sure you select the correct login method:

      • Log in with Apple/Google: Uses your Apple/Google account credentials. Password resets will go through the selected service.
      • Log in with email: This is a Nomono-specific account, even if your email is a Gmail or iCloud address. Password resets are managed through Nomono.

      Step 2: Wake the Sound Capsule and Initiate the User Switch

      1. Remove the Sound Capsule lid to wake it up.
      2. Locate your Sound Capsule in the list of nearby devices in the Companion App.
      3. Tap the device name and select Switch user when prompted.

      Note: If the previous user performed a Factory Reset, the Switch user prompt won’t appear. In this case, proceed with the normal setup process.

      Step 3: Name the Device and Connect to WiFi

      Follow the prompts to:

      • Assign a name to your Sound Capsule.

      • Connect it to a WiFi network.

      Tap Continue after completing each step.

      Step 4: Link the Sound Capsule to Your Account

      The Companion App will prompt you to:
      • Verify your device.
      • Link your Nomono account.

      These steps ensure recordings are uploaded to the correct Nomono Cloud workspace.

      1. Tap Continue to verification followed by Continue to proceed.

      2. Confirm the 8-character code displayed on your Sound Capsule matches the code shown in the Companion App.
      3. Tap Confirm, then tap Cancel in the top left corner of the Companion App to close the window.SC_user_swap4

      Your Sound Capsule is now successfully linked to your account and ready for use!
