# How Do I Listen To My Recordings Ambience?
## Nomono Studio Cloud treats the room as part of your mix. With ambience control, you set exactly how much of it your listeners hear.
**Recorded, not reconstructed**
Other tools try to pull background sound out of your voice track with AI. The result is an estimate of what the room sounded like. The Sound Capsule records the room directly, so you get the real thing to work with. No other podcast system records the room as its own track.
**Made for video podcasts**
Fully enhanced audio can sound like a vocal booth, even when the picture shows a café or a stage. Viewers notice the mismatch. With the ambience track, you can match what your audience hears to what they see.
**How to use it**
1. Open a Sound Capsule recording with **Edit in Episode**.
2. Double-click the clip, or click the layer icon, to see every track.
3. Find the ambience track and adjust its level with the volume slider, or add volume points to change it over time.
The ambience track is available for Sound Capsule recordings uploaded on or after 1 August 2026.
**Part of per-track editing**
Ambience control builds on [per-track editing](https://nomono.co/blog/per-track-editing-in-nomono-studio-cloud). For every recording, you can:
- **See every track.** Each speaker's track takes the color of their Nomono microphone, and the mix view highlights the active speaker.
- **Adjust levels.** Use a volume slider, or add volume points to shape levels over time.
- **Mute and solo.** Pull a track out of the mix, or listen to one track on its own.
Tracks stay locked together, so you can't cut, trim, or move a single track on its own. That's by design: the Space Recorder also picks up your speakers' voices, so keeping everything aligned keeps your recording in sync and protects its quality.
