What is the Difference Between Admin, Editor, and Reviewer Roles in Nomono Cloud?

Nomono Cloud provides a collaborative audio editing environment with three distinct roles—Admin, Editor, and Reviewer—each offering different permissions and capabilities to suit various team needs. Here’s a breakdown of each role and what they allow users to do within the workspace:

Admin

The Admin role provides complete access and control over a Nomono Cloud workspace, making it ideal for those responsible for managing content, team members, and workspace settings. Each workspace must have at least one Admin, and their capabilities include:

  • Full Editing Rights: Admins can edit all content, including episodes and audio files.
  • File Management: Admins have control over file and folder organization within the workspace.
  • Member and Workspace Management: They can manage member roles, workspace details, and adjust the workspace’s subscription plan.

Note: An Admin seat is counted as a paid Editor seat.

Editor

Editors in Nomono Cloud are given extensive content management capabilities, making this role well-suited for team members who actively create, enhance, and organize audio content. An Editor can:

  • Content Creation and Enhancement: Editors can upload, enhance, and edit audio files and recordings.
  • File Organization: They have the ability to manage files and folders within the workspace.
  • Limited Member Management: Editors can add or remove other Editors and Reviewers, provided there are available seats in the workspace.

Reviewer

The Reviewer role is designed for those who need access to review content without editing or managing files. Reviewers can:

  • Listen and Comment: Reviewers have listening access to all episodes and recordings and can leave comments on episodes.
  • Download Access: Reviewers can download files in the workspace for offline review.
  • Restricted Permissions: Reviewers cannot upload files, edit content, or manage other workspace members.

External Reviewer Access

In addition to the roles listed above, Nomono Cloud allows sharing individual recordings or episodes with people outside of the workspace. When a recording or episode is shared externally:

  • Limited Permissions: External reviewers can listen to shared content, add comments (if it’s an episode), and download files.
  • No Workspace Access: Unlike workspace Reviewers, external reviewers cannot see or interact with the entire workspace, ensuring content security while allowing feedback from external collaborators.

Each of these roles is tailored to facilitate collaboration in Nomono Cloud, providing flexibility in how users can contribute to audio projects while maintaining control over content and permissions.
