  • Enable metadata extraction for all audio files, allowing Cloud to retrieve detailed recording information.

Fixed

  • Ensure correct response to Wi-Fi-scan requests.
  • Fix a "ghost recording" issue which led to an incorrect number of recordings being displayed in the upload queue.
  • Enable recording while in Flight Mode.
  • Ensure resuming of Cloud upload after Flight Mode recording.
  • Improve Stellar Mic charging in factory mode.
  • Resolve the recording timer inaccuracy issue when Space Recorder receives an NTP update during recording.
  • Improve the Charging Case to prevent it from charging Stellar Mics and Space Recorder when the battery is low, ensuring safer and more reliable charging.
  • Implement a delay for Sound Capsule upgrades until file uploads are complete to prevent potential disruptions.
  • Prevent the Stellar Mic from entering and exiting shipping mode while charging if the battery is below 2%.
  • Fix an issue where recordings created on older firmware versions are stuck in the upload queue due to a discrepancy between the older recording name and the new naming convention introduced in version 2024.02.22. This update ensures that a new formatted name is generated for recordings lacking one, thereby facilitating successful uploads to the Cloud. If a recording was made with version 2023.12.19-4 or older and the Sound Capsule was upgraded before the recording was uploaded to Cloud, the result would be a frozen upload queue.

  • Add the possibility of starting a firmware update via Companion (bluetooth)
  • Add Flight Mode (Disables charging and Wi-Fi connectivity)
  • Add Control Panel in Space Recorder GUI. For now, it is possible to select "Reboot", "Flight mode" or "Check for updates". To go into the control panel, press and hold the down button on the Space Recorder for 5 seconds.
  • Display final recording time while fetching data from stellar mics after recording
  • Show warning LED during recording if a stellar mic buffer is almost full
  • Add warnings related to stellar mic buffer fill, slow data transfer and out-of-range

2023.06.29

Summary

Improvements to the audio synchronization process, particularly when using multiple microphones, and updates to comply with European Wi-Fi regulations.

Changes

  • Stellar Mic: Improve sync algorithm for the Stellar Mic. This updated algorithm improves audio/time synchronization between the Stellar Mic and Space Recorder while recording, resulting in higher audio quality when recording with multiple stellar mics, especially when it comes to crosstalk-reduction in cloud.
