How do I pair a replacement Stellar Mic with my Sound Capsule?

Please follow this step-by-step guide on how to pair replacement Stellar Mics with your Sound Capsule.

Before starting, ensure your Sound Capsule is running software version 2024.06-04-2 or later. You can find the latest software updates in our changelog and follow our update guide if needed.

Important: If you have the Stellar Mic you’re replacing nearby, please move it out of range. Your Space Recorder should no longer detect any signal from the old mic; otherwise, the replacement process won’t work.

Step 1 - Enable Pairing

Insert the replacement Stellar Mic into the empty charging slot in your Sound Capsule charging case. Keep the rest of your kit docked. This enables pairing mode once the Stellar Mic is detected and has sufficient power.

Note: If the replacement Stellar Mic doesn’t light up or shows the wrong color initially, don’t worry—this will be resolved during setup.

Step 2 - Link & Replace

After a few moments, your Space Recorder will detect the new Stellar Mic and display a prompt. Press the Up Arrow button to continue.
